Roland V Drums
I have a Roland Vdrum set and have been playing this I since May of this year. I love this set because I am finally able to practice every day without bothering anyone. I can put on my headphones and play in the middle of the night. I can use it to learn songs and get an even mix of the music and my drums without having to have it too loud in my ears. It has a lot of features that help you work on your timing by showing you a graph so you can see if you are on time or coming in too early or too late. You can have 50 different drums sets with 522 different sounds and has a usb port that you can save all 50 sets and make more or reset to factory defaults. I am learning a lot and currently working on playing everything with the click track so I will always be right on time. I already realized where I was speeding up songs while doing fills and I am improving a lot in that area. It also help me understand time signatures much better just by figuring out some Happy the Man songs like Service with a Smile and I forgot to Push it.
Scary sounds with Thunder Tube
Remo Percussion Product Thunder Tube
I just finished a part time job as a fright actor in a haunted house. I was working at Fright Fest at the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas. Most of the nights I worked in the 3d Crypt house which had black lights and 3d glasses that made the colors project from the walls and our painted faces. I used a percussion device made by Remo called the thunder tube. With this instrument that is used to create a thunder sound, I was able to create a variety of sounds that I used to scare the people going through the haunted house. The thunder tube is made with a cardboard tube with a drum head type material on one end with a metal spring attached to the middle of the drum head material. By using my fingernail along the spring in various ways, I created some really screeching creepy sounds, and I was freaking everyone out because they had no idea how I was making these sounds. So thanks to Remo and my imagination I didn't have to use my voice to scream. I used the thunder tube and scared a lot of people.

I have been playing the drums for over 30 years. That is longer than i sometimes want to admit because i would hate to think any bands would say i was too old to play with them. Playing drums id my fountain of youth.
